Relax and Reconnect: Yoga and Walking Weekend in Eryri (Snowdonia)

Set in the heart of Eryri (Snowdonia), this yoga and walking weekend is the perfect antidote to the hustle and bustle of everyday life. You’ll stay in a charming guesthouse at the foot of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), with everything you need for a comfortable and welcoming retreat.

Each day begins with an energising yoga session led by a qualified instructor, followed by a leisurely breakfast. Our guided walks will take you through some of Eryri's (Snowdonia’s) most beautiful landscapes, including tranquil forests, shimmering lakes, and rolling hills. In the evenings, you’ll wind down with a calming yoga session and a sociable dinner, sharing stories and laughs with your fellow guests.

Whether you’re new to yoga, walking, or both, this weekend is designed to help you unwind, reconnect with nature, and enjoy the company of like-minded people.

Suggested Itinerary

Here’s what we’ve got planned - of course, we may have to offer alternatives or make amendments if the weather misbehaves or other unexpected situations arise!

  • Arrive at the guesthouse anytime from 5pm, where you’ll be warmly greeted by your Large Outdoors host. Take time to settle in, enjoy the cosy surroundings, and meet your fellow guests. At 6:30pm, the first yoga session will help you unwind and stretch after your journey, setting the tone for a relaxing weekend. Dinner follows at 8pm, with the rest of the evening free to socialise in the lounge or simply relax with a cup of tea or a glass of wine.

  • Start the day with an energising yoga session at 7:30am to gently awaken your body. After breakfast, we’ll head out on a guided walk, exploring some of the stunning scenery Eryri (Snowdonia) has to offer. Depending on the group’s preferences, our route could include the tranquil valley of Nant Gwynant and Beddgelert, the scenic paths around Moel Siabod, or the enchanting forests near Betws-y-Coed.

These leisurely walks are designed to be accessible and enjoyable for all. After returning to the guesthouse, you’ll have some downtime before an evening yoga session at 5:30pm, which will ease any tired muscles and prepare you for a restful night. Dinner will be served again, with plenty of time to chat and unwind with the group.

  • The final day begins with a calming yoga session at 7:30am, followed by breakfast. After checking out, we’ll embark on a shorter, gentle walk to explore some of the quieter and lesser-known corners of Eryri (Snowdonia). This is a chance to soak up the serene atmosphere and reflect on the weekend’s adventures. Before heading home, the group may stop at a local café for coffee or a light lunch, leaving you refreshed, recharged, and ready to take on the week ahead.

  • The first designated National Park in Wales, Snowdonia (Eryri National Park) includes Wales’ highest mountain, Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa), and an array of other peaks. Beyond the mountains, there are valleys, sandy estuaries, glacial lakes, forests and miles of walking trails.

Bounded by the Rivers Conwy and Dovey in the east and south, the view to the north and west stretches over the sea where, on a clear day, you can see the Llyn Peninsula, Cardigan Bay and even Ireland. Nestled among the mountains, you’ll find the history of the area in the form of sheep farming, forestry, and slate mining, and settlements dating back thousands of years.
