Autumn Walking Breaks..

Autumn is a fantastic time for walking. A stillness sweeps across the countryside as early mists quietly swirl around before nature’s light show takes centre stage, with the sun’s rays picking out the reds, golds and purples of the leaves in woodlands. There’s also something pleasurable about tramping through fallen leaves and picking a few blackberries as you stride along, or embracing the onset of winter with an invigorating walk along the cliff tops.

All this, and then there’s the opportunity to hunker down, enjoy an evening meal that makes the most of Autumn’s harvest before simply chattering and laughing with others in front of a roaring log fire.

If all that sounds as though it’s your cup of tea, then read on as we have three cracking walking weekends that will be perfect for Large Outdoors first-timers to come and see what we’re all about.

Pembrokeshire Coastal Walking Weekend

We have ringside seats with accommodation that is perched on a remote cliff top offering some of the best coastal views in the UK. Think gorgeous walks along the coastal path, over headlands and passing beautiful coves before returning to base to relax in front of an open fire for the night. Explore Pembrokeshire walking weekends here…

Staithes, North Yorkshire

The idyllic fishing village of Staithes, with cobbled cottage-lined streets tumbling steeply down to the harbour, is a top spot for exploring North Yorkshire’s coastline.

Our cottage is right in the heart of the village, enabling us to simply step out each day onto the headland path to discover all that’s great about this area. This event is no longer available but we do have a trip just 10 miles down the coast at Whitby, view our Whitby Walking weekend here…

Kettlewell, Yorkshire Dales

With limestone pavements, dry stone walls and beautiful woodland, you’ll be walking through archetypal Yorkshire Dales scenery for this weekend.

We’re staying in Kettlewell, a perfect spot to come back to as there’s a handful of shops to mooch around and lovely pubs serving a welcoming pint to celebrate the day’s achievements. Explore our Yorkshire Dales trips here…
