Supporting the Bone Cancer Research Trust Through Walking Challenges

At Large Outdoors, we’re proud to be working alongside the Bone Cancer Research Trust (BCRT) – the UK’s leading charity dedicated to primary bone cancer. The charity funds life-saving research, provides reliable information, supports families, and raises vital awareness across the country.

In 2025, we’re partnering with BCRT to deliver their flagship walking event – the #TeamBonesTrek Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge, taking place on Saturday 5th July 2025.

This 25-mile walk is a serious personal achievement. Starting and finishing in Horton-in-Ribblesdale, it takes in the iconic summits of Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough, aiming to complete the full route in under 12 hours.

What’s Included When You Join #TeamBonesTrek:

  • A #TeamBones technical t-shirt to wear with pride

  • A finisher’s medal to mark your achievement

  • Fully guided support from Large Outdoors' expert Mountain Leaders

  • Checkpoints, encouragement, and a great team atmosphere

It’s a fantastic way to take on a challenge while raising funds for a cause that changes lives. All funds raised go towards helping the Bone Cancer Research Trust in their mission: saving lives and improving outcomes for those affected by primary bone cancer.
