Get ready for a Christmas with a difference on our five-night walking holiday in Snowdonia! Based in the friendly village of Llanberis, our Christmas escape combines crisp mountain air, guided winter walks, and festive cheer in the heart of Snowdonia National Park.
We’ll be staying at a charming guesthouse with a log burner and a cosy lounge, perfect for unwinding after a day out in the fresh air. From December 23rd to 28th, you’ll enjoy guided walks through a mix of landscapes, including valleys, lakes, and woodlands, led by our expert Large Outdoors guides. And if we’re lucky, we may even find snow underfoot to add that magical touch to our festive walks!
On Christmas Day, we’ll start with a relaxed walk before returning to our accommodation for a traditional roast dinner with all the trimmings – vegetarian and vegan options are, of course, available. Evenings are set aside for unwinding by the fire, playing games, and sharing festive treats with fellow walkers. With plenty of downtime, you can choose to join the walks, explore Llanberis’s cafes and pubs, or simply curl up with a good book.
Make this Christmas one to remember with Large Outdoors, enjoying the beautiful winter scenery of Snowdonia, great company, and the perfect balance of relaxation and outdoor adventure.

Encompassing the mountains, valleys, woodlands and much of the North Wales coast, the Snowdonia National Park is one of the best hill-walking destinations in the country. Though well known for its most famous mountain, Snowdon, there are a huge number of other peaks, standing beside sandy river estuaries, acres of forest, and landscapes cloaked in myth and legend.
Walking on the miles of excellent trails, you’ll pass medieval castles, sites where King Arthur was rumoured to have fought, Roman forts, and the modern remains of the slate industry. Alongside all this, the area’s unique wildlife is yours to search out, before retiring to one of the many excellent pubs or cafes.
